Theme Parks in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is home to some of the most famous theme parks in the world. These amusement parks offer some of the most thrilling rides & attractions. The amusement parks of Los Angeles are entrance fee based. This means that once the visitors have paid their entrance fees, all the rides & entertainment within the parks are free. Apart from the magical Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Pacific Park and Knott's Berry Farm are some of the popular them parks in LA.


Disneyland
A mind blowing theme park located in California, Disneyland was opened to the public in 1955 celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2005. Owned by the Walt Disney Company, Disneyland lives up to its claim of ‘The Happiest Place on Earth'. Promising magical entertainment and thrilling rides, the theme park is one of Los Angeles’ most popular attractions and undoubtedly America's one of the most visited theme parks. There are eight entertainment areas in total: Main Street USA, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Frontierland, Critter Country, Mickey's Toontown and New Orleans Square. There are plenty of rides including the Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and Space Mountain.

Universal Studios Hollywood
One of the most popular tourist attractions in Los Angeles, Universal Studios Hollywood receives over 35,000 visitors per day. No trip to Los Angeles is complete without a visit to this largest film studio and theme park in the world. The park welcomed its first guests in 1964, allowing the visitors to see behind the scenes of the film world and enjoy the magic associated with a theme park.

The main attraction of Universal Studios Hollywood continues to be the tram tour of the famous film sets. There is an array of popular rides including Revenge of the Mummy, a high-tech indoor roller coaster; Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Simpsons Ride.

Six Flags Magic Mountain
With a modest beginning as Magic Mountain in 1971, Six Flags Magic Mountain, today, is one of America’s most popular theme parks. Owned by Six Flags, the Six Flags Magic Mountain began life as a small amusement park, but was transformed by Six Flags into one of the most popular theme pars in the US in a short span of time. Attracting thousands of visitors each day, the park allows the people to enjoy the mesmerizing 17 world-class roller coasters, making it enormously popular with and young adults.

Pacific Park,Santa Monica
Located at Santa Monica, California, Pacific Park is a famous amusement park offers an exhilarating experience to the visitors. Loaded with twelve rides and pale-face thrills, the park is home to a large Ferris wheel and a dragon swing making it immensely popular with children. The park is also contains a miniature golf course.

Knott's Berry Farm
Established by Walter Knott, Knott's Berry Farm is equipped with 165 thrilling rides, attractions and fun family shows. Occupying an area of 160 acres, the park, once a berry farm, is a famous attraction of Los Angeles. The highlights of Knott's Berry Farm include Old West Ghost Town, the Streaking Big Cat of Roller Coasters. Camp Snoopy for kids and all-new Jaguar are other major highlights of the Park.
